PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION

Participant registration for the Makassar Half Marathon 2026 will open on December 12, 2025 for Tier I, which offers a 15% discount, and followed by Tier II on January 11, 2026, which applies regular pricing. Registration is limited, so be sure to stay updated on registration dates to secure your slot before they run out.

Each participant can register for two different categories, 10K on Saturday & Half Marathon on Sunday. And each participant is only entitled to register for one ticket in a category. If a participant registers for more than one category on the same race day, the Race Organizer reserves the right to contact the individual for confirmation and ensure that only one category is selected. Registration fees for unselected categories are non-refundable. Participants in this situation will receive all race kits, but will be issued only one race bib, corresponding to the confirmed category they are competing in.

All runners can participate in the Makassar Half Marathon 2026 by completing their registration and complying with the event regulations. Registered participants will receive an official confirmation email once their registration process is successfully completed.

The event will take place on the mornings of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 29, 30 & 31, 2026, with the race venue located at Central Point of Indonesia for Kid Dash, Anjungan Pantai Losari, Makassar, South Sulawesi for Half Marathon and 10K. The Race Pack Collection (RPC) will be held on May 28-30, 2026, at the same location.

The Organizer's decisions are final and cannot be contested.
General Rules for Participants
  1. Participants of Makassar Half Marathon 2026 can register through the official website or via the link provided in the official social media bio.
  2. Participants must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information as required in the registration form.
  3. Errors in data entry or unauthorized participant transfer will result in disqualification from this event and future events.
  4. The organizer reserves the right to contact participants via email or official WhatsApp messages at any time. Notifications sent to the email address registered with the organizer will be considered received by the participant.
  5. Participant registrations cannot be transferred or assigned to other individuals.
  6. Registration fees are non-refundable in cases of disqualification for any reason or participant non-attendance.
  7. This event is open to:
    1. Indonesian citizens with valid identification (KTP, SIM, or Indonesian Passport).
    2. Foreign nationals with a valid passport and either a Work Visa or KITAS.
  8. The competition is open to foreign participants to all category. Indonesian participants registering in this category will compete alongside foreign participants.
  9. Participants and winners must be between 13 and 70 years old.
  10. Participants outside this age range or over 60 years old are encouraged to provide a medical certificate issued by a licensed doctor or hospital.
  11. Participants are advised to ensure they are in good health and fit to compete in their chosen category.
  12. Participants within certain age ranges (to be announced) may be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire/PAR-Q Test.
  13. The organizer reserves the right (but is not obligated) to refuse or stop participants deemed unfit to compete due to health reasons.
  14. Only registered participants with official data are eligible to join the event. Participants must comply with the rules willingly.
  15. Participants registering for more than one category on the same day or repeatedly registering for the same category may only compete in one category on that day. Participants registering for two categories on different days must confirm their chosen categories with the race organizer.
  16. Participants may register for different categories provided the races occur on different days. For example, participants in the 10K may also register for the Half Marathon on another day.
  17. Registration is non-transferable. If unauthorized transfer is detected during the event, the participant will be disqualified.
  18. Disqualification includes being prohibited from competing and forfeiting eligibility for awards or titles.
  19. Participants violating these rules may be added to the organizer's blacklist.
  20. Participants with a record of misconduct in previous events managed by the race organizer will be subject to special scrutiny. The organizer may contact these participants via email to ensure their understanding of the race rules as outlined on the official event website.
  21. Child participants (ages 3–17) must obtain parental consent via a signed Parental Consent Form, which can be completed during the race pack collection process.
  22. Children participants aged 3–12 years are only permitted to participate in the Kid Dash category in accordance with the event regulations. Participants above 12 years of age who are still classified as minors are only allowed to participate in the 10K category and must provide a written Parental Consent Form, which can be completed and signed during Race Pack Collection.
  23. Children in the age group specified in point 22 are ineligible to win as they are not included in the competition’s eligible age classifications.
General Event Rules and Regulations for Makassar Half Marathon 2026
  1. Participants must wear appropriate and decent running attire that ensures comfort, complies with general etiquette, and maintains aesthetic standards during the race.
  2. The official Makassar Half Marathon 2026 race shirt will be distributed during race pack collection day.
  3. Participants are encouraged to wear the official race shirt for easier visual identification by the Race Management staff.
  4. Participants must wear their bib/race number prominently on the front of their attire, ensuring it is not obscured by shirts, jackets, or any other items.
  5. Participants are responsible for maintaining their bib/race number, ensuring it is not lost, washed, or ironed, and refraining from detaching the embedded chip from the bib.
  6. In the event of loss or damage to the bib/race number due to participant negligence, the Organizer will not issue a replacement.
  7. Each bib/race number is non-transferable and must not be assigned to another individual.
  8. Transferring a bib/race number to another person may result in the disqualification of the participant.
  9. Participants are encouraged to uphold sportsmanship and refrain from any form of cheating.
  10. Each participant is allowed to register for only one race category.
  11. The Organizer reserves the right to confirm and request participants registered in multiple categories to select one category and cancel their participation in the others.
  12. Participants must comply with the instructions of race officials or organizers while on the race route and forfeit their rights as participants without objection if they are found in violation of the rules.
  13. Violations include running outside the designated race route, marked by directional signs, ropes, cones, poles, barricades, and race officials.
  14. All photographs, video recordings, and related materials featuring participants during the event are the property of the Organizer and may be used for promotional and publicity purposes for the Makassar Half Marathon without limitation.
  15. Any other matters not addressed in these rules will be determined and communicated at a later time.
  16. The Organizer and Race Management reserve the right to adjust and modify the event rules as deemed necessary.
  17. Any adjustments or modifications will be communicated to participants in advance.
Important Information for Makassar Half Marathon 2026
  1. Participants are required to thoroughly read the Notifications, Race Rules, and Terms & Conditions prior to registering for the Makassar Half Marathon 2026.
  2. The Terms & Conditions and Rules outlined herein are intended to support and guide the proper execution of the Makassar Half Marathon 2026, ensure the safety of all participants, and comply with the official permit requirements and applicable laws of Indonesia.
  3. Participants with a history of two medical incidents in events previously managed by IdeaRun will undergo additional confirmation regarding their registration. This is to ensure they are in optimal physical and mental condition, ready to participate in the race, and capable of completing the event while maintaining their health and well-being.
  4. All participants are fully aware and acknowledge that this sport carries risks, which may include injury, disability, or even death.
  5. By registering, participants agree to adhere to the race rules and acknowledge that any risks arising during the event will be covered under the participant insurance policy provided, as per the terms and conditions of the associated insurance company.
  6. By registering, participants are considered to have agreed to and accepted all information, terms and conditions, and race/event rules.
  7. Participants thereby release the Organizer and Race Management (including but not limited to the Organizer's management/employees and appointed race managers) from any losses or damages arising in connection with the event, except in cases where such losses or damages result from intentional negligence, beyond what is stated in the participant insurance coverage.
  8. Participants must indicate their agreement to these terms by completing the designated acknowledgment section during the registration process.
EVENT GUIDELINES
  1. Participants are encouraged and advised to wear the official race t-shirt during the event.
  2. Participants must wear appropriate running attire that is comfortable, ethical, and aesthetically suitable.
  3. Participants must attach their bib/race number visibly on the chest or a location easily seen from the front, ensuring it is unwrapped and not covered by a jacket or other items.
  4. Race bibs are non-transferable. Transferring the bib to another person will result in disqualification.
  5. Start Times/Flag-off times:
    1. Kid Dash: 4.30 PM (Friday)
    2. 10K: 5:30 AM (Saturday)
    3. Half Marathon: 5:30 AM (Sunday)
  6. Schedule changes will be communicated to participants via email or social media in a timely manner.
  7. Participants must be at the starting line 30 minutes before the flag-off for a smoother running experience.
  8. Cut-Off Times (COT)
    • Half Marathon: 4 hours
    • 10K: 2 hours
    • These times are calculated from the official gun-time.
  9. Late Start Tolerance
    • 10K: Up to 10 minutes after gun-time.
    • Half Marathon: Up to 15 minutes after gun-time.

    Participants exceeding these limits may join the next category start or will not be allowed to start (Did Not Start/DNS).
  10. Checkpoints with split-time sensors and markers (lanyards) will be located at the start line, specific points on the route, and the finish line. Participants must collect markers at each checkpoint.
  11. Monitoring/CCTV cameras along the race route will be monitored from the control room.
  12. Timing chips or transponders are used for recording times but must be handled carefully. If unreadable (due to folds, water damage, etc.), the participant’s time will not be recorded.
  13. Cheating, such as obstructing, pushing, or intimidating other participants, cutting the route, using unauthorized vehicles or equipment, doping, or using fake bibs, is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
  14. Water stations will be available at several points along the race route.
  15. Road safety and traffic management are under the control of the relevant authorities, coordinated by the Organizer and Race Manager.
  16. Participants with two prior medical incidents during races managed by IdeaRun in previous events will have their participation reconfirmed to ensure they are in prime condition, ready to compete, capable of upholding the integrity of the race by managing their physical and mental state, and committed to maintaining their condition to cross the finish line in good health.
  17. Medical services will be provided by official personnel with support from partners or sponsors along the race course.
  18. The organizer collaborates with local hospitals and/or hospitals designated by the organizer and sponsors. Medical personnel have the authority to stop participants from continuing the race for health reasons.
  19. Medical support along the course will be reinforced by the Running Doctors team, who will run in each category and monitor participants requiring medical attention.
  20. Awards for the fastest runners include winners and champions in the Half Marathon and 10K categories, based on gender (male and female) in the National class for participants under 40 years of age as of December 31 of the current year, and in the Master class (exactly 40 years and above or 50 years and above on race day). A special Student class is available for the 10K category for participants aged 15-18 years on race day. Winners are eligible for only one prize, and the determination of winners is in accordance with race regulations.
  21. If necessary, winners may be subjected to doping tests. If a winner is found guilty of doping, they will lose their winning status and be required to return any prizes they have received.
  22. Winners are determined based on the fastest arrival time in each category, gender, and class.
  23. Winners and champions are classified as Open or open all categories, provided the individual holds a KITAS (Temporary Stay Permit) or Work Visa to qualify as a winner and access the prizes.
  24. Winners and champions are also classified as National or closed for all categories, meaning only Indonesian citizens are eligible to be winners. Participants must meet the following conditions: (a) not disqualified; (b) possess official and valid identification (ID card/driver's license/passport) matching their race bib data; pass the doping test if conducted; and arrive with all checkpoint ribbons. Any discrepancy in winner data, race bib information, or checkpoint ribbons will result in disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.
  25. Winners in the Master class are those who meet the specified age criteria of 40+ or 50+ on race day, under the following conditions: (a) not disqualified; (b) possess official and valid identification (ID card/driver's license/passport) matching their race bib data; pass the doping test if conducted; and arrive with all checkpoint ribbons. Discrepancies in winner data, race bib information, or checkpoint ribbons will result in disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.
  26. Winners in the Student class for the 10K category are participants aged 15–18 years on race day, under the following conditions: (a) not disqualified; (b) possess official and valid identification (ID card/driver's license/passport/student card) matching their race bib data; pass the doping test if conducted; and arrive with all checkpoint ribbons. Discrepancies in winner data, race bib information, or checkpoint ribbons will result in disqualification and forfeiture of prizes.
  27. Prizes for winners will be transferred to their bank accounts by the organizer within 14 working days, or if there are changes to prize distribution regulations, they will be announced accordingly.
  28. For winners required to undergo doping tests, 50% of the prize will be disbursed, with the remaining amount held until doping test results are released and the participant is declared free of doping. Prizes will only be awarded if all participant data and requirements are met. Race prizes are subject to applicable taxes.
  29. Any matters not covered in these regulations will be determined later. The organizer reserves the right to adjust and modify the race rules as deemed necessary. All adjustments and modifications will be communicated to participants through all or selected official communication channels, including email, WhatsApp text, or official social media.
